A guest and I fished Dogwood West yesterday. We booked the whole day and stuck it out from daylight to dark. We caught a total of 40 fish and harvested 24 that were 16 and under. Most that were harvested were between 15 and 16 and really healthy. It seemed there were a mixture of spotted bass, black and Florida but I am not 100% on that.

The lake was great to fish with just enough vegetation to hold bass and bait fish. It was great to have the boat with the trolling motor and battery ready to go. I spent the first half of the day fishing a Texas rigged pumpkin seed with chartreuse tail senko. The bite slowed  after lunch so I moved to a Carolina rigged Bream colored Yum Senko with about 2-ft of leader to give somewhat of a weightless presentation. Around 3 PM the bite turned on and I picked up the 6.15 in the pic below. There were 2 other above 3 and and most were between 2 and 3. The most active spot was the bank left of the back point on the right side of the down to the fence line.

Tight Lines!
