Took the family to Cody Ranch for the Easter weekend, and stayed at the lodge. Crabgrass Lake was very clear, but had a lot of snot grass . Caught a few decent fish, nothing big.  My dad and I fished Peach Creek Easter morning in a cold rain, that made our hands numb, but we caught several nice fish and only a few small ones.  I caught a 20", 4-1/2 lb on a Texas rigged Gene Larew Hawg Craw that proved to be the biggest fish we landed over the weekend.  My dad lost a monster on a Texas rigged lizard, that sawed his line off on a stump.  She jumped first and we got a good look, and there was no doubt she was over 8lbs, quite possibly larger.  Caught several nice 2-3 lb fish as well.  The ranch is great, and only a 2 hour drive from Mckinney.  Will definitely be going back for another shot at the one that got away!
