Fished Tarpley on April 12 from 8-noon and used my kayak.  Caught 6, only one over 14”, but the bite seemed to start turning-on around 11.

Conditions:

water - clear
air temp:  40-65
water temp: 61

No evidence of spawning.

Successful lures:

med diving crank (crayfish/chart)
shallow diving square-bill crank (chart/black)

Unsuccessful lures:

top-water
spinner
deep-diving crank
weighted senko
