The lake was very low compared with my first visit in June — probably 4+ feet down — but the fishing was still solid. I fished from about 8 AM to noon and caught ~9 LMB, all over 2 lbs, with the biggest around 3.5. Healthy fish and really good fighters.
Most came on a chartreuse squarebill worked parallel to the shoreline along the dam, ticking through submerged hydrilla about 10–15 feet off the bank. The west peninsula also produced fish, and I picked up a couple on a watermelon/red-flake wacky Senko. The lower water really changed the look of the lake, especially around the west peninsula, but there were still plenty of fish holding along the bank and vegetation.
Beautiful morning, peaceful property, and another enjoyable trip. Briar has produced well for me on both visits and I'll definitely be back.
