My brother is out of the army and home for a couple of weeks so I figured I'd take him to one of the best properties in our area! 
 

We started the morning very hot with my brother breaking his PB at 4.2lbs followed by my biggest catch of the day right at 6lbs. He caught his on a creature bait and mine on a deep diving crank. That was around 7:30 and we caught maybe one more until 9. That's when it started. There were multiple schools all around the lake chasing shad from 9-11:30. We would chase them and throw a weightless paddle tail and they were hitting them hard! We ended up catching around 16 during that time. We caught 7 culls and the rest were in the 2.5lb-3.5lb range all fat and healthy even the culls. We decided to leave our boat there and take a break to get lunch with our dad. 
 

We returned at around 5 and fished till 7:30. The afternoon bite wasn't as fruitful as the morning. We caught around 6 all being around 3lbs. Mostly the paddle tail and a couple on a chatterbait. We were blessed with a 5 minute shower which felt nice! 
 

Shoutout to Joe, the owner. We found out that he knew my grandparents pretty well and knows my dad too. Small world. He does a great job of maintaining this lake and it ALWAYS produces atleast one giant bass per trip. 
 

I think I'm gonna give my area a break and branch off to other lakes, hopefully some camping here in the fall.
