Property Name : Acker Lake
Reservation Date : 08/03/2026 AM -
Total Fish/Sizes : 28 caught -My bi- culled 14, 10.12; 5.4; 4.8; 4.6; 4.1 ; and the rest 1lb to 3lb
Lures Used : Tubes; Swim baits; brush hogs; jigs; 10 in power worms black and blue; square bill crank baits

My fishing partner Joe Gann and I launched in the dark at 5:30.We decided on the drive down to try and fish deeper water with what we believe are big fish baits. We did not fish any topwater, frogs, flukes, or shallow running baits. We used jigs, texas rigged plastics, tubes, and swim baits. I caught the 10.12 on a black and blue jig with a Lake Fork black craw trailer flipping in the trees in 8-10 foot wter. It measured 25 ¼ inches long. We both fished barbless with the jigs and plastics. On a previous trip Joe and I both lost big fish in the trees. We stayed in deeper water areas in the open lake also. .We caught several  on the swim baits and swim senkos in the known channels.

Congrats!!! I knew it was just a matter of time until someone went over 10 at Acker. Makes sense that you did it by fishing for big fish. Well done.
