Pam and I fished Salt Lick Sunday morning until about 1PM. We caught 25 with 17 harvestors, 5 in the 2.5+ LB class, 2 in the 3+ LB class, and 1 in the 4+ LB class. So, on average, a little smaller than a typical day for Salt Lick. There were some chasing bait in the open water in the morning – and we took advantage of that with the underspin, but those were all harvesters. The better fish were isolated and relating to the shore weedline and were picked off with a T-Rig curly tail worm. Also, we got on deep dive crankbait for a spell off the shore in the northwest corner. The water is clear and is down some, but plenty of lake to fish as usual on this property. Evidently I lost the power cord to my fishfinder so I don’t have any specs on temp. Eric stopped by on a tractor and checked on us and hoped we were having fun – he’s a great lake owner! All in all, very glad we got out.
