First time at this property and really enjoyed it. Arrived around 2:15 pm and quickly realized the music was blasting. Tejano concert was getting started at near by location and the music /show lasted until after I left around 7 PM.
Circled and worked with frog /top and crank bait around weeds/grass. Finally found spot in middle around clusers of tree/ stumps. Kautzky Lazy Ike‑2 was classic lure with best results. Will come back to see if music helped or not.

Scott – that is cool that you deployed a vintage Lazy Ike and it was so productive! Regarding the (loud) Tejano music – comes from an event center/rodeo to the east of the fishing property. I’ve experienced it before, but maybe once out of 10 times that I’ve fished Malouf. So, anyway, just know that it doesn’t happen all the time.
