My boy and I were off to a typical great start at Tara. Pulled in 6 nice ones (4 between 2.2 – 2.9) in the back cove during our first couple hours. We knew it was going to be hot so we only planned to fish till around noon and then get home to do some more Independence Day activities. Motor started acting wonky over by the dam and then it hit me...i didn’t charge the battery from the last trip. We paddled around and anchored another 30 min or so and then decided to call it early. The dock didn’t seem that far away until you start rowing that fourteen footer to shore in the wind with a single paddle. Either way that one is on me. Lake is nice and full and the property was mowed down beautifully. We will be back soon. Fully charged.
