I fished from 7AM-2PM at the beautiful Hickory Creek Ranch on Saturday May 30th.   The day started cool with wispy clouds and just a hint of a breeze.  I caught several on topwater lures before the sun got too high in the sky and then tried a bit of everything as the day progressed.  I was hoping the lake levels would have risen with all of the the rain we have been having in Houston, but the levels seemed similar to what I had expereinced earlier in the Spring.

I was able to locate the crappie on this trip and caught a good number of them.  

The bass were biting well but I couldnt find the bigger girls that I had found here on my last few trips,  The bass were located mainly at the extreme ends of the lake in 5 feet of water, notably I did not have a single bite near the island which had a been a favorite spot earlier.

Always good to be at this beautiful lake!
