I know this lake a lot of catfish but I guess they were in the mud to keep warm. I did get a chatter bait split at me from a nice size bass but he said not today. Very nice lake to fish.

Thanks for the report. It sounds like you found the right play with those crappie lures since the catfish were hunkered down.
That is a tough break on the chatterbait. Pecan Springs has some smart bass that know how to put up a fight in the cold. I am glad you enjoyed the lake and hope you get that big one next time.
