Perfect conditions slight riffle on the water all day 2 feet visibility 55° water
Fist cast with fly rod/Foam sliced frog got my first fish, That got my attention. I was looking forward to Moore and that was it. Tried everything you could imagine with Bass rods not a sniff, Went to the bottom, Texas rig, red bug worm, Then went to creature bait and got another one, Next time

Sounds like one of those almost days, the kind that gives you just enough to stay hopeful.
Perfect-looking conditions with a slight riffle, good visibility, and 55° water usually scream “on,” so that first-cast fish on the fly rod had to get the adrenaline going. Tough break when it didn’t turn into more action after that. At least grinding it out with the Texas rig and creature bait paid off with a couple more bites, even if they made you work for them.
We appreciate you sticking it out and giving the fish a full tacklebox worth of looks. Hopefully next time they’ll be in a more cooperative mood and reward that effort a little better.
