Caught 23 bass on Crabgrass Lake today. Nine keepers up to 3 lbs with most around 1 ½ to 2 lbs. Most fish came on texas rigged creature baits around the standing timber. Wind made it very difficult to control the flat bottomed boat which contributed to several missed strikes. Met Mr. Cody, he couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. I plan to fish several of the lakes on this ranch this year.

Sounds like Crabgrass Lake treated you well, 23 bass with nine keepers is a solid day, especially working the standing timber with Texas-rigged creature baits. Wind can definitely make boat control a challenge on those flat-bottomed boats, but it sounds like the fishing more than made up for it.
We’re also glad you had a chance to meet Mr. Cody. He’s a great landowner and truly cares about the property and our members experience.
