Fished for a few hours on Wednesday until the 17-mph winds (gusting to 20) finally wore me out. Even with the whitecaps, I saw bass busting early along the weedline. I worked the entire perimeter and couldn’t stay in one spot long, but still put together a good mix of bites on a variety of lures—ned rig, neko, and crankbaits. Ended with 13 fish, 5 culls, and a couple of chunky ones. Water temp held steady at 62°, visibility was about 2 feet, and a couple of really nice bait balls staging in 14 feet.

Regardless of the wind, it was a great day off and always a great time to fish Double A and appreciate everything Joe does to keep it a quality fishery.
