Pete Lane
Fry
Fished Pecan Gap yesterday afternoon. Lake is about 3’ low, but easy to launch and very fishable. Conditions were about perfect for fall – overcast, slight breeze, 70 degf air temp and 65 water temp. The bite was on, caught 22 with the largest being 4 9 and 3 10. Most were caught up shallow along the east bank and in the far south of the lake – freeline senko worked best, but also caught a few on wacky worm, top water, rattle trap and then TX rig in the deeper timber. Spoke with the owner who said that fishing has been tough there for the past month or so; hopefully they are now feeding up for the winter. Great fun day to be outside.
