Started the afternoon out pretty slow out at Crocket this sunny, somewhat warm afternoon….pulled up to the bridge, and decided to try my luck immediately...Not many strikes, maybe 3 hit….all dinks. Then, up to the dock. Again, nothing...wasn’t sure what the problem was. Generally, i have fun catching brim and a few small bass there...No bluegill, but maybe a tiny bass or 2….

Then headed to the shallow eastern corner….by the way, water was very low all the way around...but you can especially see this in that dogleg left, in that corner. Things picked up considerably. I was using the 10,000 fish Yoto Worm….unweighted, but with a swivel and leader….worked well….caught mostly smaller fish, but a few nice ones from a lb to 2lb….

About ready to leave, when a monster hit the Yoto….I thought it must me a Cat, but it wasn’t spinning, so i was hoping...Well, she was huge...i’m guessing, but i think 6 plus...really fun…

Then, went back down to bridge on way out….caught say 20 on swimbait (mostly small, but a few good ones over a pound), and one bluegill on the smallest of beetle spins that are sold…

Obviously, i only banked fish...fished PM slot, by myself, and would rather bank fish with my limited time.

Great Day. Great Fun. Beautiful property, and property owner is always a gentlemen that comes down to say hello. I recommend Crockett...It’s a great lake, beautiful setting,  not too big, but you have to find them.

One of the few days I can remember that i can’t say i caught most with the zoom fluke...Usually my goto bait. Not this day. Yoto Worm and Paddle Tail swimbait were really working.
