Morning started off calm but turned windy when the sun got up.  Water clear & 62 degrees – still warm enough for a few topwater fish.  Took some time to find a pattern – but by mid-morning we got beat up on shallow cranks along the tree lines near creek channels.  Shad color worked best, also found a handful on texas rigged watermelon colored worms.  Turned 16 back that averaged 2-½ pounds, big fish was 5 lbs-13 oz.  These fish are footballs, and slightly smaller mouths have us thinking they’re F1 floridas.  30 fish for the morning – lots of fight, lots of fun.
