I would like to thank the owner for allowing me to borrow his trolling motor. Very kind.

The lake was 3-5 feet low and the water temerature dropped during the preceeding days, so the fish went deep. It took some time and experimentation with lure types, but as soon as we located the deepest part of the lake with the right lures the action started. We secured just a ½ day reservation so the water temp change and a late start meant the window of opportunity was narrow. In the end, we landed 2 LGM bass (about 2-lbs each) and 2 perch. 

I am eager to return to the property in the spring when the water level is higher and the fish return to the shallows.
