Reservation Number : 41099
Property Name : Legacy Oak Ranch
Reservation Date : 10/03/2024 All Day - 10/03/2024 All Day
Total Fish/Sizes : 55 total - 53LMB, 2 giant bluegill; bass to 6.2 lbs.
Lures Used : chatter, plastic worms, paddlin toad, lizards

My buddy and I began at sunup and fished until 11:30 then came back around 3pm and fished for another hour.  Hot, sunny, cloudless and still.  Not ideal fishing weather, but all morning there was a good bite.  After a three hour break for lunch we only half-heartedly fished a short while because we were tired (we are kinda old).  There is almost no bank fishing here because the lake is almost completely surrounded in cattails.  There is great structure and, well ……. just make a reservation.

These bass are hungry and feisty!  The owner drove down and talked with us and was extremely helpful, hospitable and knowledgeable.  This is an incredible property and a beautiful lake which was built for fishing.  We caught two bass around six pounds, and most of the rest were 1.5-3.  Please bring at least one fish basket for culls, because you will need it.  We brought home LOTS of nice fillets. Topwater and worms and chatter worked best for us. We will definitely be back!

Hi Bill, unfortunately I didn't eat in the area. So nothing to report. If you find something good let us know.
