Context is important here.  I drove over four hours roundtrip to fish Tanner’s Lake and caught 9 fish (one cull) in 3.5 hours.  Not a bad day by some standards but barely worth the drive from San Antonio.  The lake is only 5 acres and not particularly attractive by PWF standards.  Most of the fish were caught on midnight blue, weightless worms; a few on white crank and pink swimbait.  The largest was 2 lb.  If you’re in the Austin area, you should probably try Tanner’s.
