Sunday, September 28^th - 82 Degrees, Partly Cloudy Weather: Water Temp 75 degrees: Water Clarity – Slight Green Shad: 3-5 ft Visibility

Got on the lake at 7:15 AM and made a few laps, trying top water baits and flipping the grass lines. After 2 hours with no bites, I decided to scan the lake and found the fish in the northwest corner, 15ft down, chasing shad in the 8ft range. Casting out in this area with different baits, I managed to pull 10 fish in 3 hours, but it wasn’t easy! The 3” hover rig pulled in about 5 alone, letting it fall past the shad into the feed bass. Once they caught onto that, I pulled a few more on mid-diving cranks and jerk baits, all in a shad pattern. Fish sizes ranged from 8” to 17”  with me harvesting 4 fish. I know the big fish are in here but they were hard to find today. The last thing I have to say is the pathway and boat ramp for Double-A Lake are amazing!
