Rock Chimney is about 8-10” lower than it was 3 weeks ago but that didn’t seem to change the pattern much.  Ron Dupree and I started fishing the south shoreline from the bank and had modest success with a crankbait and chatterbait (6 bass in first hour).  Unfortunately, I couldn’t get anything to react to topwater lures. We moved to the north bank and caught a few more on dropshot and texas-rigged worms.  We launched the boat and started along the dam with no action at all.  We caught a few at the mouth of the northern creek using a chatterbait and dropshot and a few more along the south shoreline but in slightly deeper water.  The bite really stalled out late morning so we just drifted around and across the lake at the mercy of the variable-direction breeze and ran into roaming bass a couple of times.  Each time we caught a couple and then they moved on.  For the morning, we ended up landing 32 bass but half were dinks.  Dropshot (Ron) was the best producer; it delivered some 3-3.5# bass but many dinks.  Rock Chimney bass are filled-out and healthy and the overall size profile seems to be increasing. It was a good morning having fun fishing with a slight hint that fall is coming.
