Although this has been on my bucket list for years, I never would have fished here, but I met my daughter who is a student in Lubbock, and this is about as close to Lubbock as you can get for PWF. What a great twist of fate! Started fishing as early as we could at about 0800. We went up the arm to the right because the video says that's where the fish are. We started catching them right away on crank baits. Whopper ploppers weren’t really working. After they started moving off the bank, we used craws and 10 inch power worms, and did well with those, We went further up the arm, and didn't really find anything, so we went up the left arm. I hooked a very large fish on a craw that went under the boat, jumped and escaped. Not much else up there. We went back to the arm on the right, and my daughter indiscriminately cast to the middle of the lake, over the creek bed, and got one. We just kept casting crank baits into the middle of the lake, and catching fish. Tried craws and whopper ploppers in the evening, and they worked well in that same area. Great day. My daughter got her new PB at 4-8. Great way to wrap up my annual fall trip.
