Got to the lake and started fishing by 8 am. It was three hours before I got a bitte. Very hot. Topped out at 98 degrees, and two days after a full moon. No top water bite. Hooked, and lost  a couple punching the shoreline weeds.  Really, the only thing that produced was Senko, and the color didn't seem to matter much. I had a sandwich at the boat house, then threw my final crust in the water, and some huge bluegill came up and ate it. I went after them with Gulp minnows, usually a reliable bluegill bait, and they had no interest. The only place I could find bass was deep in the weeds with Senkos. There is a ton of timber in the lake, but no matter what depth or technique, they just weren't holding there. Just deep in the weeds.
