Member Lou and I fished Red Lake – Fairfield for the first time on Sunday Sept 1.  We arrive at 6:30am before sunrise to an overcast / cloudy day.  little to no breeze and maybe 74 degrees.  To me this is the perfect fishing condition (love overcast days).  The fishing was very active.  We started off with top water for about 30 mins.  I wanted to try a new Yamamoto Senko that I found so I switched to a wacky rigged Yamamoto 5" Watermelon Copper/Orange Red (SKU: YAM-9-10-956).  This was the ticket.  The fished seemed to love this color and presentation.  we caught fish consistently until about 9:30am then the bit started to slow as it usually does late morning.  We could only stay until about 10am and had to head back even though we could have stayed and fished the whole day.  The lake and property was beautiful.  The fish looked very healhty with good coloring.  This seems to be a well managed lake.  We really enjoyed visiting this lake and will be back.  Thank you.
