This was my first time fishing this lake, and I must say it won't be my last. I arrived just before sunrise and left around 4 p.m. I managed to stay on a good topwater bite using a black buzzbait. I landed several two-pound bass and one four-pounder. From there, I tried an A-rig, worm, and crawdad, with only two fish wanting the crawdad. From there, I tried a spinner (nothing), then a bladed jig, which produced some chasers but none that would commit. I decided to try the lipless crank (bluegill color) and was rewarded immediately with another four-and-a-half-pounder, followed by multiple other one- to two-pounders. I stuck with it until about 4 p.m. and ended with a six-pound bass. Needless to say, this is definitely a top pick for me. Thank you, farmer, for allowing us to fish here.
