My wife accompanied me on this trip.  On her third cast (drop shot rigged with purple/chart tail) she hooked into a great fish.  Finally got it up and it was a 5.32 pounder.  Larger than any other bass she’s ever caught.  I followed shortly with another bass weighing 5.52.   About 20 minutes later I boated a 3^rd great bass at 5.21.  First time I’ve ever caught more than on 5 lb bass in a day.  One 2 lb fish and 6 culls were removed.  Lake is very low with water level about 8 inches below the bottom of the boat ramp.  Weeds cover most of the northside of the lake making it impossilbe to get through with trolling motor.  South side of lake is relatively clear but the fishing is limited to about ½ the lake due to the weeds.  Finished the morning by getting out the fly rod with a Clauser Minnow and started cathching hand size bluegills.  Loads of fun but realized by 11AM the sun was horrific and the temps already approaching 95.  Best day I’ve ever had at this lake.
