It's always great when bass hit the top water frog!

The early morning bite was on fire—I landed 8 bass between 6:30 and 8:30 AM. However, the action slowed down a bit, with only a few more catches before I packed up at 1:30 PM.

By 11 AM, the bass were playing hard to get, hiding deep within the cattails. I could still hear them splashing back there with their surface hits! Most of my catches came along the north side of the lake, right around those dense cattail patches. If you’re heading out, that’s the spot to try your luck!
