My first trip to nice lake in Smithville.  It is a pleasant place to fish and very well kept grounds.  Rain has it full.  I did not stay at cabin but it is right on the water and would be a good overnight place.

The weather was hot like you would expect in Texas summer, and fish were slow till about dinner time.  They were all very small and I had a good bite after 6 pm for about an hour.  Slow slow presentation with multi colored plastics worked best.  Pumpkin/chart, grape/ yellow, watermelon/chart had most of the hits.  
12 culls and 2 over 12”.

As always, I am very thankful for chance to try this nice little lake very close to Austin.
