This lake is amazing, so many ways to fish. I opted to start the day on the ridges before the sun got too high. Watched several good balls of bait moving and several bass loitering under them but they had too much natural food to eat my baits. Moved up to work the primary and secondary grass line and had several strikes but all culls came from this technique. At the boat ramp for a snack, I saw a huge crawdad that was very red and very healthy. I switched from shad colors and watermelon to red cranks and red craw worms and the better fish decided to eat. Thanks for the hint mother nature! :) Deep grass is very healthy and holds decent numbers of fish but they were suffering lockjaw!
