I invited a few members (4) from my VFW Post for a fishing outing at my favorite JerMar Lake. Hotter than a pistol however, we managed to catch a fair share (16) for a bunch of old guys until the heat ran us off but we all had an enjoyable time in the process. The lake is full & clear but you really have to manage around the vegetation. Working the Vegetation line edge proved most productive & to my surprise, the North end by the channel edge was the best. Several were caught at the dock area. We caught 3 over 3lb, 8 in the 1 1/2-2lb range & 5 culls.Watermelon Red Flukes & Mid-sized green/ brown jigs w/ split tailed trailers were the bait of choice. Nothing on spinners, chatter or senkos. Thanks much to Scott/ Cole at PWF for their help w/ this small group.
