First time on this lake.  Fished topwater before dawn, over the plentiful grass up the center and to the right side of the lake from the dock.  No luck.  Tried a texas rig through the grass, no luck.  Tried a bladed jig at the island on the far side from the dock, near the stump, and had a strike, missed it.  Tried a crankbait and picked up two small bass.

Worked my way on the far side of the lake towards the dam, and caught another four.  One in open water, the rest near the bank.  All fish were caught on a small, shallow crankbait.

Met the owner, very nice guy.  Good day on the water.  Fished 6am-9am.
