Launched at 12:30 with steady winds from 10-15 mph from spillway across the lake. Lake is 100% with 1-2 ft visability. Lake in great shape. With dramatic rise in lake levels, the banks have 2-10 ft of brush line in the water..up to 4 ft deep. That is where all the bites were. Caught them all around the lake. Took about an hour break from the sun and wind from 3-4. Weeds hardly any issue, but had to fish cranks fast to stay above the weeds, but crawfish with small wt. about 2-3 inches up line worked best. All 34 bass were 11-14 inches. One crappie on crank in middle of deep part while trolling. Wind is usually the challenging part on this lake. The south bank (across from boat launch) provided some relief as well as the dam. In windy areas, would anchor, catch a few then move along and do the same all around the lake. Definitely bring extra batteries for this trip. The small bass were right up against the exposed brush and around the the trees out in the lake. A threat of a storm brewing up, got me off the lake at 6:30. Better be safe and already had enough to clean and had a two hour trip back to Austin. Looking forward to my next trip back. Hopefully less windy next time. The pier is about 6 Inchces under water.
