We fished Little A for an hour and a half and caught 8 bass. I had promised Joe that I would give Wild Card a try the next time came to his place. I’m glad we did. Wild Card was a lot of fun as everyone caught fish. There were two bass over six pounds. The rest were in the two, to two and a half pound range with one giant crappie. Like the other recent trips there, lightning showed up and cut our time short. We did get in four solid hours though. I want to really give a sincere thanks to the PWF staff and to Joe the land owner. Being a grandpa that loves to take his kids and grandkids fishing, PWF makes for a fantastic family experience. All of our gang loves to bass fish. This is so much more enjoyable than roaring around the area lakes in search of a handful of bass, fighting the crowds at the launching ramps and pouring $$$ into the tank to feed the 250 HP Yamaha. The solitude PWF provides makes for a great family experience wherein we catch a lot of bass, the gang learns all the techniques, we manage to catch some big ones from time to time, but most important of all we have the time and a forum to actually talk and enjoy the peace and quiet that families need.
