Fished the P.M. Saturday with my son and grandson. The water was stained and above the drain pipe, both lakes are above full. He caught the first fish on the north end out of the grass. That was the pattern for the entire afternoon, throw into the grass and catch em. We caught 24 bass largest 4.25 lbs. Tried several baits but the 8” worm was the trick. Had at least 4 fish come off beds, they had not spawned and all the fish we caught were healthy. Rain came on about 6 so the topwater action we were looking for never happened. Goose provided 5 of the 24 but it was to wet to walk around and really fish, boat launch was out of the question, it was really muddy.
