Went to Red Lake with a good buddy on April 22.  He has a cabin nearby, so we spent the night there then made a day of it at Red Lake.  What a beautiful property!  The lake and everything around it is scenic and the lake offers a lot of good fishing.  We went right after a cold front, so the numbers and size were probably down a bit from what should be expected here.  Had a great time pulling in five bass with a frog in and around the lily pads.  All of the rest of the fish were caught on plastics, mostly wacky rigged, and fished mostly slow.  They were pretty sluggish, probably from the front, and we found them most everywhere, except near the dam and close to the bank.  Caught 30 total, culled 19, and the largest was 3.7 lbs.  They were all healthy except one.  We had a great time, and got to meet and talk with the owner, Winfred, who was a really nice guy.  Appreciate him and PWF affording us this opportunity.
