The wife and I fished Six O on Saturday despite the wind, cold, and thunderstorms. Thankfully, the property has a covered boat dock to take refuge under. We got a couple of hours of fishing in before a big storm and then another couple in after waiting out the first wave of heavy rain and lightning. It was a cold, raw day but we managed to land 19 with 17 returned and 2 overs. Most effective lures were a weighted wacky rig, a swimming worm, a straight tail T-rig, and a swim jig. The lake was completely full and crystal clear with 69F temps. No size this time, but it was worth getting out and braving it and enjoying the day and an extended picnic time in the truck. Always a pleasure to visit this beautiful ranch! We’ll hit it again.
