I arrived at this beautiful ranch around sunup to water of 70 degrees warming by late afternoon to 75. Air temp reached 80.  Water visibility was 3 feet and the lake is full. The wind never let up so I bank fished the morning, working my way around the lake and catching 19 on a buzzbait.  Went to town for lunch, then siesta time, then back out, this time in my boat.

There are spawning beds all over, particularly along the dam, but the aquatic vegetation is beginning to be a big factor, and it is providing them a safe space to guard their eggs. The bass I caught were spread out all over the lake, with the two better areas being along the dam and the opposite end near the culvert.  The fish looked good and fought hard.  The lake could use some more culling, but it was a good trip.
