Fellow PWF member John Shepard and I went to Blackjack on Good Friday and had exactly that “a good friday” . Started out cloudy and breezy,  ended sunny and windy. The shallow end was good first thing with buzz frogs, floating frogs and weightless plastics. Caught a few from the pier before going out in the boat. The water level is up as high as its been for a while but so is the vegetation. I had my best luck swimming a weightless 4 inch tube over the vegetation, lots of hookups but lost some trying to pull them through the thick coon tail growth below the surface. John used a variety of baits but his most productive lure was the buzz frog in the early morning on the shallow end and between 3pm and 4pm on the bank across from the pier. Water is crystal clear and water temp was lower sixties. Caught 40 total ranging from 12 inches to 18 inches, culled 9.
