Fished for a few hours at Tripple J Sunday afternoon.  Very high winds and what looked to be very high water level.  Water was basicly chocolate milk, but caught about 6 using white spinner and chatterbait all hitting right at the bank.  One on an A-rig. All 1-2 lbs. Looks like a great lake in normal conditions.

Glad you were able to get out, recent rains have been great to get the lakes full but definitely dealing with more stained water than usual at many of the lakes.  Ferris is a very good fishery, I think you will see much better results in future trips.  Welcome to PWF!

Welcome to the club Scott.  Just so you know, Triple J is always pretty muddy water as it has very little vegetation (some big grass carp too).  I’ve caught some crazy pale bass there that were more shad colored than bass colored.  But since that’s their normal water conditions it doesn’t stop them from seeing and feeding up on bait or baitfish colored lures, so you don’t have to always go “black and blue crazy” there.
