After the great day at Julian Lake yesterday, I headed over to Sandy Creek for some Crappie fishing this morning.

I arrived around 7:45 am and fished up to 11:45 am. I caught 25 Crappie and 4 bonus bass. The bass were all over 16” but fight hard as always and they were released.

I used the Kietech shad color swimbait on a white jig head. It was a slow day, but the size of crappie was well worth the slow bite. I fished most of the time around the drain as that was the most productive spot of the day. It was a bit windy and chilly this morning but had a great time as always at Sandy Creek.
