Grandson and I caught a lot of bass.  Over cast first day in the mid 60’s after several rains during the previous week but road to the pond was solid enough to hold pickup up.  Good access to the pond.  Culled 26 the first day.  Most good fish but were under slot.  Did catch four larger bass – 2-3 pound range.  Hooked another 10 that we didn’t get in the boat.  Fish were fat and sassy.  Lots of fun – especialy for my grandson who hasn’t done a lot of fishing.  He had a great time.  Second day was a little slower and fish were a little smaller.  Bright and shiny day with a breeze. No big fish but 19 under slot.  Probably another 8 gotaways.  Met the owner.  Real nice guy.  He’s been trying to manage the pond.  It has some sunken timber, lots of sunken water weeds which hampered us a little but is great for the bass.  Couldn’t measure depth but guessing most isn’t more than 6 or seven feet.  Deepest maybe 10-12.  Water typical coffee colored.  Owner said pond hadn’t been fished for 2 years.  We had a great time and would highly  recommend it to those who want to catch a lot of fish.
