I fished from 7:15 to around 3:30 starting at Mesquite Valley. Water clarity was good lots of weeds. I walked the whole thing catching six, five dinks and one pushing two lbs, all at the dock area on a weightless senko and a chatterbait. I dropped my kayak in Bluebonnet lots of weeds and slimy algea rendering my pedal drive useless. Water clarity was very dirty throughout except for by the dam where there was a break between it and the weeds. The chatterbait was constantly getting stuck in slime so I switched to swimming a soft craw over the weeds and slime. This technique paid off especially near the dam and in clear spots in the weeds where I caught 19 with the largest just shy of 4lbs. All fish looked healthy and had fat bellies. I hope to fish this again in the future when the weed situation is under control a bit better.
