Hit the water with my son at 1:00.   Water was very clear despite all the rain the day before.  Windy to with a mix of sun and clouds, but the wind died down later in the day.  Air temp around 55 and water temp about 60.  Very slow start with a couple of dinks in the first few hours, but finally found a pattern of with white senkos and red squarebill crankbaits around the north side, and then the action really picked up around the beaver lodge hugging the shore.  All were in the 3-4 lb. range and all fought hard.  Largest was a 3.98.  Snagged a few crappie as well.  Turned out to be a great day – glad we didn’t throw in the towel too early!
