I arrived on the lake about 3:30 pm and had some trouble launching the club pontoon against a strong 15-20 mph south wind.  Once I negotiated the exit my 45 lbs thrust motor could barely move against the wind and my battery struggled also.  Note: bring extra battery next time.

The fish were biting and I had good success on the west side but wind made holding or slowly drifting tough.  My spot lock kayak would have been better but caught several 1-2 lb and a few culls.  Caught 4 lb at the spillway from bank when I lost battery power.

Most fish in 2-3 ft water and strong bite.  Water was muddier than expected due to wind churning. Visibility 12”.

I had boated 11 in about 3 hours and spent 1/3 of that time fishing from bank.

Great Lake and good fishing.  Again recommend stronger thrust troll motor < 45  and extra charged  battery in windy conditions.  It was beautiful spot. Thanks to the landowner!
