It was family day out. Trip to a new pond for us. It was a very nice property and all looked normal and healthy. Fished from 1230-6 pm. Water was super clear and water temp was 55-57 degrees. Clear water fishing was not my strong suit because all my fishing line was at least 14# test. The girls line were likely 6-8# test. Pinpointing the fish was a little rough today. I worked shallow as well as offshore. I had a group of bass hit back to back to back for 6 bites in an area about 8-10 ft over a grassy ledge dropping to 13 ft and deeper. But then it quit and I couldn’t get them to bite again later. The smaller fish were sporadically biting in 3-5 ft of water. The majority of the pond has grass on the bottom. It was easy to work baits over the top. We ended with 12 bass, culled 6, and 1 crappie. Otherwise, we couldn't ask for a better weather day out. Thank you owner and PWF!
