It was cold and windy on 2/17 as I launched my Bass Raider.  Wind chill was 32 degrees with no sunshine for most of the afternoon.

The bass were active from the start, and I got into nice fish that hit and fought hard. Most bass were in the 16” to 20” variety.  Almost all the fish came on the South side of the lake as the wind was blowing from the North.

I fished for 4½ hours with warming breaks sprinkled in and the sun finally came out from 4:30-5:30.  The fishing picked up at that time.

The water color was good and visibility was about a foot.  Water was right at the spillway
