Caught up in Downtown Dallas traffic … but with the son in tow a father son trip was going to happen one way or another…

Hit Malouf at just after 5:15 pm – slight overcast, but very warm and no wind at all. The afore mentioned son hooked a small one from the point near the dock with a pumpkin Wacky.   After a few more casts from the bank and landing one more on a white Chatter we jumped into the boat for a very quick spin around the lake.  On the East side near the dam caught a slightly larger on the Chatter again. Moving to the southern side of the lake East to West hooked another 6 with a 2.5 being the largest. Bites came by dragging the Chatter off the bottom like a jig more than a standard retrieve. Out by 6:15 and a great first trip of the year logged… Thanks PWF!
