It was a beautiful day for fishing and Ron Dupree and I had a good time.  However, the bass were playing some different game and we had trouble getting bites.  We ended up landing 5 from Raymond Lake and 8 from Golden Pond.  Although half the fish were caught from the boat, everything was within a cast distance from the shore (although in a quarry lake that can easily mean 25 feet of water).  A lipless crank was the best producer followed by a Strike King 3XD crankbait with a single bass caught on a dropshot. Hopefully the bass were just taking a holiday vacation and will return to “normal” soon.
