We brought our boat, but once we saw how nice the lake's pontoon boat was, we took the pontoon. The fish were slamming the top of the water all morning, but we couldn’t catch anything on topwater baits. Once we started fishing deeper water, we started catching them. My 11-year-old son caught his largest bass at 5 pounds. He was pretty excited. This made for a great trip. 

In the description, it said to bring two batteries for the trolling motor. We were grateful we listened to this as it proved to be good advice. We only fished for half a day, but the first battery died towards the end. It takes a little more power to push around that boat.
